Sam Reynolds (the lovable Brit and mastermind behind Darkfest), Theo Erlangsen (the South African with the most contagious laugh ever), and the rest of the build crew are bringing us along as they construct a huge wooden ¼ pipe and prepare for Darkfest 2025!

In episode 2 of this sick Darkfest build series, we see the build crew get to work in the hot South African heat. Spending 4 solid days in 2 diggers, shifting tons upon tons of dirt to build a massive landing for the quarter pipe. Designed to catch riders from high in sky - And hopefully, tire side down! 

While the digger drivers, Duran Van Eeden and Justin Novella, were busy sweating it out, carefully sculpting the quarter pipe landing… Sam Reynolds and Theo Erlangsen thought now was the perfect time to go and have some fun!

By hitting some dreamy flow trails! The edit on this part of the episode is next level!

Once the landing was complete, now came the biggest challenge yet… Sitting the wooden quarter pipe in the perfect place, at the perfect height, and at the perfect angle!

First off, the boys dug a hole to the right of the landing before lifting the 600kg quarter pipe into place. After some adjustments here and there and smoothing off the run-up to the quarter pipe… It was finally ready for its first test ride!
